The Node Manager associated with machine is not reacheable

When you start the SOA server from the admin console, you can receive this error:

For server soa_server1, the Node Manager associated with machine mid70_UnixMachine_1 is not reachable. All of the servers selected are currently in a state which is incompatible with this operation or are not associated with a running Node Manager or you are not authorized to perform the action requested. No action will be performed.

You can solve this issue by :

  • checking the configuration file of your node manager (Check the logs file)
  • defining correctly the association of the managed server with the machine in WLS console
